Podcast Host of My Almost Midlife Crisis and Published Author of “What a Year, a COVID Journal”
Advertising executive by trade; podcast host by passion. I’ve been in advertising for almost twenty years but my dream was to be the next Howard Stern on my own radio show. And while I love advertising, I always had regrets of not following my dream of being a host.
In 2021, I launched My Almost Midlife Crisis Podcast as a way to come to terms with approaching middle age and all the emotions that come with it. There are times I feel like I have all the time in the world, and then other times I feel like time is slipping away. I knew this feeling wasn’t just unique to me and hope this podcast can bring those together that are just doing their best to navigate their way through middle age.
In April 2022, I was laid off from my job and 13 weeks pregnant. At almost 40 years old, I had no idea what was next. For the first time I felt like I wasn’t in the drivers seat and didn’t now which way to turn next. Did it make sense to start a full-time position when I would need to take time off for maternity leave in less than six months? What role did I even want to pursue?
So here I am, embarking on this new journey of self discovery. Not just in my professional life, but as a first-time mom to be at 40. I have no idea where I’m going, but I do know that the journey ahead will change me for the better. I hope you’ll join me on this journey and get inspired to take a step on your own path forward.
